2024 Summer Swim Programs
PSSC is proud to offer two 6 week programs for the summer of 2024. Both programs begin on Monday, June 24th and end on Wednesday, July 31st. The Summer Swim programs run Monday thru Thursday from 4-5pm and are offered at South Kitsap High School pool located at 425 Mitchell Ave in Port Orchard. The cost for each program is $199 for the 6 weeks. In addition, a USA Swimming membership is required (12u is $30 and 13-18 years old is $48.50). Below is a description of each program:
- Introduction to Swim Team - Minnows
- Targets kids ages 6-12 years old who enjoy swimming and may be interested in swim team, but unsure how swim team works. This is a great opportunity to try swim team without a commitment!!!! This introductory swim program helps to build the necessary skills of stroke technique and building endurance in order to join swim team. Please note this program is not a swim lesson program as it is a bridge between swim lessons and swim team. Tryouts are not required but swimmers must be able to swim across the pool (15 yards) unassisted.
- Middle School / High School Bootcamp
- Program is offered to incoming 7-12th graders who are looking to brush up on their swim skills, improve strokes or race times, stay in shape for high school swim or water polo, or for those who may be interested in swim team, but unsure how swim team works. Tryouts are not required and there is no commitment to join swim team year-round.
Registration for both programs opens June 1st and it is a 2-step process.
- Swimmers must register with PSSC and pay the one-time cost of $199.
- Swimmers are required to register and become members of USA Swimming. The costs varies based on age. Those swimmers 12 and under, select the "Flex" membership, which costs $30 and for swimmers ages 13-18 years old, select the "Season 2 Athlete" membership, which costs $48.50.
